Otunba Samson Adebayo Somotun Otunba Samson Adebayo Somotun's journey began on April 20th in Sagamu, where he was born into the esteemed family of Pa Sheu Tijani Somotun of the illustrious Orumale lineage of Batoro, Sagamu, and Alhaja Sinotu Somotun nee Erinmilokun of the renowned Adetu dynasty of Offin Sagamu. Both parents hailed from royal lineages, instilling in young Bayo a heritage of dignity and honor from birth. Affectionately known as "Bayo" by his mother and close companions, his early education took place at Saint Paul School (Alagbon) Sagamu, and Saint Paul School Makun Sagamu. He furthered his academic pursuits at Remo Secondary School (R.S.S.), Sagamu, graduating in 1956. After a brief stint in Ibadan from 1957 to 1958, Otunba Samson Somotun ventured into the banking sector, joining Barclays Bank Plc (now Union Bank Plc) at the Ebute Metta, Oyingbo branch.
