2011 ILEYA FESTIVAL IN SAGAMU

This year celebration did not go without the Family getting together as always, on Ileya day my first visit was to the Olori Ebi Hadji Nojim Adetu, his house is always a full of activities all for his large family.
On the first day of Ileya is for ram killing and are now cut into pieces and distributes to people in the community

 Otunba Samson Adebayo Somotun  Otunba Samson Adebayo Somotun's journey began on April 20th in Sagamu, where he was born into the esteemed family of Pa Sheu Tijani Somotun of the illustrious Orumale lineage of Batoro, Sagamu, and Alhaja Sinotu Somotun nee Erinmilokun of the renowned Adetu dynasty of Offin Sagamu. Both parents hailed from royal lineages, instilling in young Bayo a heritage of dignity and honor from birth. Affectionately known as "Bayo" by his mother and close companions, his early education took place at Saint Paul School (Alagbon) Sagamu, and Saint Paul School Makun Sagamu. He furthered his academic pursuits at Remo Secondary School (R.S.S.), Sagamu, graduating in 1956.
